Officials with Local Government Liability Pool (LGLP) took a tour of the arena at the Johnson County Fairgrounds to inspect and give an opinion on the new railing system and also gave their opinion on how the county should proceed with their proposed fuel depot.
Bill Miller, Loss Control Manager, and Judi Just, Loss Control Representative with LGLP, gave their recommendation on the railing system to the commissioners, who will forward the information to the Johnson County Fair Board for their discussion and final decision.
Miller and Just also reviewed with the commissioners the services their company provides to local entities including classes, training and advice for areas tha could potentially become liabilities for the county.
Miller asked the commissioners if there were any issues they would like to discuss with him, and the proposed fuel depot was mentioned. The commission asked how he thought they should proceed with the project.
Miller will send the commission information on the Federal and State regulations and ramifications involved from the EPA and DEQ on fuel storage, at the request of the commissioners.
