A Look Back in Time: May 6, 1914

Twenty-two teams gathered at the City Hall this morning and at 8 o'clock were sent to the city's various wards to begin “Clean-Up Day.”

By noon, all of the ward superintendents reported they had removed an immense amount of rubbish. The exact number of loads has not been determined.

The county seems likely to build three or four new bridges this year, following today's actions of the county commission. Bids will be advertised this month as soon as officials have settled upon plans. Commissioners went with Clerk Floyd to Big Horn this afternoon to take measurements across Little Goose. The structure that was there washed away last summer.

Beckton Mills is looking for 500 families to try the company's new “Mountain Loaf” flour. Call 1602.

The Sheridan Manufacturer's Association will meet this evening to discuss the “Made in Sheridan” exhibit. A large attendance is requested.
