Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on March 28, 1914.
Over 200 Pythians attended a meeting of the order in Sheridan. Supreme Keeper of Records and Seals F.E. Wheaton was guest. The feature of the evening was the initiation of the Rathbone Bible class of candidates. Forty-six men were initiated.
H.D. Gabriel, local representative of the Absaraka Ranch Corporation, says Absaraka Park will be managed as a summer resort for long-term visitors to this region. The ranch corporation is incorporated in New York, and 25 to 30 people from New York, plus a number of Chicago parties, are considering coming here.
The Grand theater will offer another big show today, consisting of five full reels. The feature is “In the Speckled Band,” a fine detective story by A. Conan Doyle.
For Sheridan Media, this is Pat Blair, with a look at Sheridan County on March 28, 1914.
