A Look Back in Time: June 10, 1914

A bartender here in Sheridan attempted suicide at noon today by jumping into Big Goose Creek. He jumped from the bridge at Pioneer Park. It is thought he was temporarily out of his mind at the time. He was taken to the hospital and will recover.

Miss Bernice Logan left today for a short visit in Sioux City, Iowa. She will then spend a month with Mrs. J.A. Flanders and Mrs. T.L. Peters at Lake Okoboji.

The Sheridan band will give the first of a series of concerts for the public on Thursday evening. The concert will be in the band stand opposite City Hall.
