Local officials with the Adams Express company announced they would reduce rates of all small packages leaving Sheridan. Prices were slashed from 33 to 50 percent for all packages weighing less than 20 pounds. The new rates would go into effect on Feb. 1. The company was at 43 South Main Street.
The Congregational Church filled to capacity with people eager to hear an organ recital by Captain Conger. This was the first recital performed on the church's new organ. Capt. Conger was from Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
