A Look Back in Time: April 26, 1914

An 11-year-old Monarch boy is in the hospital here in Sheridan after being accidentally wounded by a shotgun discharge.

He and a chum had gone hunting with the gun, and were attempting to pull it over a fence when it discharged.

G.T. Stahl is in town from the Buffalo land office. He reports the roads are in bad condition, and travel is slow.

Sheridan High School Coach Forsyth plans to turn out a good track team this season. The high school and business college are negotiating for either a large track meet or several track events to be put on at each of the baseball games between the two institutions.
