A Look Back in Time: April 24, 1914

Sheridan County's Democratic club held a very enthusiastic meeting last night.

President Marshall announced the executive committee is working steadily to line up the very best men for the committees in the county's precincts. There are three committees to be appointed: polling, registration, and first voters.

Police Chief Breen today placed an order for a large number of signs to be posted around the city, designating the official routes that ranchers may take to drive their animals to the stock yard for shipment. The chief said he has received numerous complaints about ranchers driving their cattle and other live stock through the streets at all hours of the day. The city has established four stock routes by ordinance, one for each direction.

Mrs. W.F. Ports will entertain the Adelphians this week. The meeting will be at her home at 618 Adair avenue.
