Sheridan citizens trying to make long-distance calls from their home phones Tuesday night were faced with frustration when the calls didn't go through.
A telephone technical support/telephone repair agent with CenturyLink who identified herself as Chel told Sheridan Media the service outage was not localized to Sheridan, but affected several states
Chel did say the outage lasted a couple of hours, but did not provide any more specifics, other than that service was restored at 10:48 Tuesday night.
