Last Saturday, April 21, The Buffalo Downtown Association’s Missy Anobile organized the clean up and planting of the flower boxes on Main Street.

The Town and Country Garden Club, Don and Gabby Verger, Girl Scout Troop #1328(Taylor Parsons), and Troop #1354(Tabitha Cohoon, Baylee Parsons, and Kathy Cohoon) all volunteered to help clean out the flower planters, deliver mulch, decorate, and plant pansies on Main Street. Udder House provided lunch for the volunteer crew, the BDA donated the flowers, Don Verger gave the mulch, and the Occidental Hotel provided the decorative rocks.

On Tuesday, Buffalo High School Students volunteered to sweep and clean the sidewalks on Main Street.

The BDA's Marie Verger said, “It is exciting to see our youth coming to downtown to volunteer. We were thrilled to have the Girl Scouts come and earn a merit badge for their volunteer services. We need to engage our youth on Main Street as much as possible, they are our
future.”

All of this Main Street spring cleaning is meant to spiff up downtown in preparation for this weekend's RMI Roundup coming to Buffalo.

To volunteer, contact the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce at 684-5544.
