The 2012 National History Day competition recently took place in College Park, Maryland and one local student brought back a prestigious award. Sheridan County Museum Director Nathan Doerr explains.
Doerr attended the competition with Ross, as he played the role of History Day Coach. Nathan tells us what receiving the award means for Ross.
Doerr said that the interest shown by local students who take part in the local history competition combined with the various elementary students that take part in the museum's programs shows that history is alive and well in the minds of our youth.
