Sunday, September 26th, horse riding enthusiasts have an opportunity to go on a trail ride for a good cause. Members of the Blue Sky Saddle Club are organizing a St. Jude's Trail Ride, and event organizer Marty Casey tells us.
The group adopted the cause from the Back Country Horsemen, one of whose members had a direct connection to St. Jude's a few years ago.
Casey describes all the particulars with the Sheridan ride on the 26th.
Casey says that they chose this fundraiser because St. Jude's is rated as the #1-trusted charity in the country, as 81 cents of every dollar goes to research and care of the children and their families.
As for the ride, there is no specific cost to participate. Casey says riders can pick up donations per ride, per mile, or just give a donation when you arrive to ride. If you can't donate any money and just want to take part as a supporter, Casey says folks who just enjoy riding are welcome to join them.
