Keeping things safe for the thousands of people that come together for the street dances both Friday and Saturday night is the main objective of the Sheridan Police Department. Sheridan Police Chief Richard Adriaens says that the command center will be set up downtown both nights to help people out as much as possible.
With the amendment to the concealed carry law taking effect earlier this month, Adriaens wants people to keep in mind that the street dance will not be the place to take advantage of the new law.
Sheridan Police Lieutenant Chris Dahmke says that they will once again have plenty of assistance throughout the weekend.
The Police Department will also be offering free rides home from the street dance both nights to those that need them. A van will be parked at the north end of Main Street by the Rainbow Bar.
