One of the local high schools will be presenting a Disney classic. News Director Leslie Stratmoen has the details.
The theater department of Tongue River High School will present the musical, “Tangled,” tonight. The show is being presented as a dinner theater, with tickets for the spaghetti dinner, $15, and $40 for a family. The show's free.
Brett Schwieder, who's the art teacher and drama coach at the school, said this is a first – a musical-type program. He said they've presented plays at the school, but not a musical. So, this won't be a full musical adaptation, but an abbreviated version of the play, with actors, singers, sets and some special effects.
“Tangled” is the Disney tale of the magically long-haired Rapunzel who's introduced to the world by a runaway thief after spending her entire life in a tower. Dinner is served at 6, the show starts at 7. Reservations can be made by calling the school. The number is 307-655-2236.
