Every year the Kid Kraddick Foundation raises money to help send 50 chronically ill children and their families on an all expense trip to Walt Disney World in Florida. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.

One of the families selected to go on this year's trip is from Sheridan, as Holly and Jeff Roush and their 11-year-old daughter Afton will spend several days in sunny Florida in mid November. Holly talks about how she broke the news to her daughter about being selected as a Kidd's Kid.

Roush says that it will be the first time they'll be able to experience a traditional family vacation, as Afton has been living with what has been described as catastrophic birth defects.

Holly said that while they are Sheridan natives, they moved to Gillette this past summer because of her husband's job. The Kid Kraddick Show airs weekdays on Q-104.9 from 5 to 9 am. They will be taking donations all throughout today to help fund Kidd's Kids Day. Click here if you'd like to donate to the Kidd's Kids Day fund.
