The University of Wyoming's Whitney School of Nursing has named Sheridan County Public Health as a community partner for its work with the school in educating the next generation of nurses.

The local public health office was named an "Educational Community Partner" of 2013. The office partners with the nursing school to educate online RN/BSN Completion Program students.

Two other agencies, in other parts of the state, were also given the honor. They are the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cheyenne and the Wyoming Medical Center of Casper.
