It's been a little over a month since the City of Sheridan started closing Kendrick Park to vehicle traffic between the hours of 10 pm and 6 am. City Parks Manager Chuck Carbert says that the restrictions haven't created much of a stir.
When Sheridan Media originally aired the story on July 28th, Carbert said the restrictions were implemented on a trial basis. He explains that the trial was successful, and that the restrictions will stay in place.
The idea of closing the park at night to vehicles came about from the Kendrick Park neighborhood watch group, who expressed concerns to the City Park Board and Sheridan Police Department about some of the late night activity that was going on within the park.
