Seven year-old Chandler Lee is raising money to buy books for Haiti's school children.

Chandler Lee has a big dream and it's not any ordinary dream. His heart is to raise at least $5000 to buy books for the children in an orphanage called Ca-Ira Village, located in Haiti.

The 2010 earthquake left Haiti devastated, including the destruction of the orphanage and killing several children and staff members. Rebuilding is done and Chandler explains what's needed now.

Only 50% of the kids in Haiti are able to attend school and what few books the kids at Ca-Ira had, were ruined in the earthquake.

Chandler tells us what kind of books are needed.

Education books in French. Chandler's uncle, David Lee has teamed up with Chandler supporting him in his cause. He knows Chandler's heart.

On Sunday, July 8th, Chandler is going to walk from Golden China to Thorne Rider Park, along the walking path, a distance of about five miles. He's asking folks to support him in his effort through pledges or donations.

David says Chandler has come up with this acronym for his project.

To join Chandler in helping the kids of Haiti, send donations to Bethesda Worship Center, 1100 Big Horn Av., in Sheridan with Hooked on Books written on the memo line.
