Light Up Buffalo Events Scheduled For November 24

Coming up on Saturday, November 24th, the Buffalo Downtown Association will present their “Light Up Buffalo” events to kick off the Christmas Holiday season.

The day-long events are set for the traditional beginning of the Christmas shopping season with the idea of keeping shoppers downtown and hopefully buying locally.

The day will begin at 10 am with carolers on Main Street and carriage rides with Santa up until 5pm.
At 5:30pm is the professional fireworks display at Prosinski Park.
At 6pm there will be a dance at Deerfield's featuring the band “Gunshy.”
At 7pm will be the Festival of Trees Auction at Deerfield's beginning with the Johnson County Arts and Humanities Council's dollhouse raffle and the Christmas Bike Drawing with the live auction wrapping up the evening.

Patty Reid, acting Director of the BDA, said the auction is the main fundraiser for the organization.

She explains more about the evening's events at Deerfield.

Be sure to fill out and drop off cards at participating merchants downtown for a chance to win a boys' and girls' bicycle.
