The Buffalo Downtown Association (B.D.A.) will present the annual Light Up Buffalo celebration this Saturday with events scheduled throughout the day and evening.
The Festival of Trees will be the culminating event of the evening with the live auction and wine tasting, and featuring local collector ornaments for sale. Light appetizers, hot chocolate and cider will be available as well.
The Festival of Trees will begin at 7pm at the Cowboy Carousel Center at 59 N. Lobban.
Jennifer Haskins, Executive Director of the B.D.A., tells us more about the Festival of Trees.
Events will begin at 2pm with the public able to preview the trees that will be auctioned later in the evening.
A fireworks display by State Senator Bruce Burns will begin at 5:30 in Prosinski Park.
Entertainment will be available in Crazy Woman Square as Justin Beasley takes the stage at 6.
And the Festival of Trees will wrap up the evening beginning at 7.
Be sure to stop into the ten participating businesses this week to get signed up to win an i-Pad to be given away after the live auction. You must be present to win.
One last event will be happening that night as well, and Haskins tells us what it is.
The Festival of Trees is sponsored by First Northern Bank; A.C.T.; the City of Buffalo; Buffalo Bulletin; Johnson County Tourism Association; Senator Bruce Burns; the Bank of Buffalo; Brannian Auctions, LLC; and Oldies 105-9.
