More than 75 people showed up at the Volunteers of America “Life House” ground breaking ceremony Friday afternoon.
President and CEO, Jeffrey Holsinger said the day was not about a building, and the investment is not in brick and mortar, but it's about the men and making whole what's been broken.
The new facility will replace the the building currently in use on Saberton. Two point one million dollars has been raised to date leaving $650 thousand left to raise. Holsinger says now the hard work begins.
Peter Droege from the Daniels Fund was there. The Daniels Fund donated $500,000 toward the building project.
The Life House is scheduled for completion next August.
