Earlier this month, we reported on how the sales of E-Books, such as the Amazon Kindle, are effecting sales of books in bookstores, such as Sheridan Stationery. On the March 7th Public Pulse program, Cameron Duff, Director of the Sheridan County Library System, discussed E-Books where libraries are concerned.
Duff says that some libraries have been able to offer Kindles and contacting Amazon, who have granted permission for their use, but if the library system is in a larger populated area, publishers will most likely say, “no” because of licensing agreements.
As for the future in Sheridan County's libraries?
