The Wyoming Department of Transportation and the City of Sheridan have partnered for the Lewis Street Bridge reconstruction project that will begin next year. WYDOT held an open house Tuesday to give the public an opportunity to provide comment on the project. WYDOT Public Involvement Specialist Ronda Holwell stated that they are involved in the project because they have control of all bridges in the state and the current bridge on Lewis Street doesn't meet standards.
Holwell said that the $3.5 million project will get underway next summer with a tentative completion date of 2013. Public comments are being accepted on the project until June 3rd. Information on how to submit comments on the project can be obtained by contacting Ronda Holwell at 307-674-2356.
