The Johnson County Commissioners approved a request from the Buffalo High School Spirit Squad to hold a “car wash fundraiser” in the county-owned parking lot across from the courthouse for June 14th and July 5th.
At their Tuesday meeting the Johnson County Commissioners heard a report from Emergency Management Coordinator Marilyn Connolly about the newest public alert system, the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (or IPAWS), which is being offered through Homeland Security /FEMA.
Specifications and plans for the new city paving district were deferred by Sheridan's city council today due to lack of time. The council did not meet in regular session until the middle of the afternoon.
