Drumm Has Mixed Feelings About Leaving Sheridan College

Sheridan College President Dr. Kevin Drumm announced Tuesday that he would be leaving the Northern Wyoming Community College District to become the president of Broome College in New York. Earlier this year Drumm was considered for two other executive positions. Drumm says leaving was one of the hardest decisions he ever had to make.

Man Charged With Child Abuse Has Preliminary Hearing

A Sheridan man was bound over to 4th Judicial District Court after a preliminary hearing in Sheridan County Circuit Court on Tuesday afternoon. 35-year-old Rockie King is accused of aggravated assault and battery as well as child abuse.

Courthouse To Get Another Face Lift Over The Next Several Months

The Sheridan County Courthouse will have more construction going on inside the building in the next several months. Sheridan County Commissioners met Tuesday morning and awarded the bid for remodeling of the 3rd and 4th floors of the courthouse addition to O’dell construction. The project is expected to cost nearly a million dollars.

Suspected Child Pornographer Appears Before Federal Magistrate

A Sheridan man faces Federal charges after certain images were found on his computer. 28-year-old Christopher Brown faces 3 counts of sexual exploitation of children. There is one count each of possession, receiving, and transporting child pornography. Brown was arrested last weekend based on a several month investigation conducted by Wyoming’s Division of Criminal Investigation.

Ranchester Council Awards Bid For Sewer Lagoon Project

The Ranchester Council awarded the bid for the town's sewer lagoon project at their meeting Tuesday night to Three Way Incorporated in the amount of $434,000. Ranchester Mayor Cliff Clevenger explains what the project will entail.

The project is being funded by monies from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Well, it's official -- Sheridan College President Kevin Drumm has accepted a position as president of Broome Community College in Binghamton, New York.

The Community Holiday Dinner in Sheridan is a tradition that has spanned nearly two decades. When the first dinner took place in 1991, it served 385 people. Those numbers have grown substantially over the years as now the dinner averages well over a thousand.
