Leathercraft Show Opens Friday

The Rocky Mountain Leather Trade Show gets undeway at 9 o'clock Friday morning at the Holiday Inn in Sheridan. More than 55 vendors will converge at the third-largest convention in Wyoming to showcase their wares related to the trade of leather craftsmanship. Charil Reis runs the show, and she's also the owner and editor of Leathercrafters and Saddlers Journal. She says she has scheduled an impressive lineup of characters to appear.

Sherida's historic and current ties to the wild west make it an ideal place for some of the world's best leather craftsmen to converge to share ideas, spruce up their inventory, and even compete.

There's a reception Thursday night at King's Saddlery.

The trade show kicks off Friday morning, and will fill up the entire convention center. The event is free and open to the public, and visitors will have the opportunity to meet and greet some of the best leatherworkers in the world, including braiders, leather artists, and boot makers.

Stop by the Holiday Inn from 9 to 5 Friday and Saturday, and 9 to 2 on Sunday to see the show.
