Next weekend, Sheridan will play host to the third biggest convention in Wyoming, and warm-ups start Monday.
The Rocky Mountain Leather Trade Show starts Thursday night with a reception, but workshops for craftsmen start Monday and run through the week. Charil Reis, owner and editer of Leathercrafters and Saddlers Journal, says this year's classes encompass all the essentials of the trade.
Most of the workshops still have spaces available. To see a complete list of classes offered through the week, click here.
The actual trade show will be at the Holiday Inn over the weekend, and will feature some of the most acclaimed leather craftsmanship in the world. Reis and her father have come to be regulars in Sheridan specifically for this reason.
Reis estimates this year's trade show features approximately 55 vendors, and will accommodate as many as 1,000 guests.
