City of Sheridan Utilities Director Dan Roberts presented the Sheridan City Council with a 7-year lease agreement with Peterson Pacific Corp. to lease a lateral grinder for use at the City Landfill. The Council approved the lease agreement and Roberts explains that he was able to negotiate a couple of positives for the City.
The City will pay approximately $92,000 a year to lease the lateral grinder.
The grinder will be used primarily to dispose of construction and demolition material at the landfill.
The Council also approved on second reading a petition to rezone 2.6 acres on KROE Lane from B-1 business to M-1 Industrial. The Bright Horizons subdivision was also approved, which was a request to re-plat block 5 of the West View addition into six lots on 2.7 acres of land located northwest of 6th and Skeels streets in Sheridan.
