With spring growing season comes educational opportunities provided by the University of Wyoming Extension Service.
Coming up on Tuesday, March 29th, Scott Hininger, Extension Area Educator for Sheridan County, will be doing a workshop on extending the garden season. He explains.
After Hininger is done with his presentation, Jeff M. Edwards, the Area Educator for Goshen County, will discuss how to build, maintain and manage Hoop Houses and High Tunnels.
Hininger says the use of Hoop Houses and High Tunnels can extend the growing season for the types of plants that might not otherwise grow in this area. And another perk, he tells us.
He adds that if a gardener doesn't make an apparatus, they are not very expensive.
The workshop is free and open to all, and begins at 6 pm on March 29th at the Watt Agriculture Center at Sheridan College.
