Lawsuit Against School District Two Headed to Trial

A lawsuit filed by a former Sheridan County School District Two employee is headed for a jury trial next year. Micheal Kadera filed the lawsuit in June that alleges that District Two Superintendent Craig Dougherty along with Assistant Superintendent Terry Burgess treated him unfairly and discriminated against him after he provided negative testimony against the School District in an unrelated lawsuit involving District Two in 2005. In 2010, Kadera's contract with School District Two was not renewed.

A pre-trial conference has been set for March 14th, 2012 in front of U.S. District Court Judge for Wyoming Nancy Freudenthal, who will also be the judge for the jury trial which is scheduled for April 9th, 2012 in U.S. District Court in Cheyenne.
