The City of Sheridan hosted a public workshop Thursday night to give nearby landowners of the City Landfill a chance to voice their likes and dislikes of the facility.
While there were a lot of suggestions from those at the workshop on how things could be better at the landfill, City Utilities Manager Dan Roberts points out a few of the common concerns that were raised.
Ground and surface water contamination and better regulation, as well as depreciation of property were a few of the other issues that were raised. The workshop wasn't all negative, however, as many in attendance agreed that things have been improving.
The City will now go to work with all of the feedback that they've received.
Once the possible solutions have been developed, they will be brought back to the citizens at another public workshop Thursday, March 24th.
