Sheridan's own King's Saddlery was featured in a recent episode of the hit show "Longmire" - which is based off of books written by Ucross resident Craig Johnson. Sheridan Media's Chris Foy has the story.
Bruce King, who owns King's Saddlery and Ropes with his family, explains the recent appearance on television screens across the globe.
This wasn't the first time the Sheridan business made it to the big screen. King says the King's Ropes caps were featured in "The Lions of Africa," where actor Brian Dennehy wore the cap throughout the film.
And it won't be the last appearance of products from the business that's been in downtown Sheridan since 1961 - but it's been family owned since the 1940s. On Monday, producers for the "Longmire" series ordered some ropes from the company..
King says they haven't seen any effects of the recent publicity just yet, but it certainly isn't out of the question.
As of Wednesday night, all variations of the King's Ropes hats featured on the episode are temporarily out of stock on the company's website.
