The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has issued a notice that the Kerns Wildlife Habitat Management Area located 12 miles northwest of Parkman in the Bighorn Mountains is closed to motorized vehicle travel until further notice. The closure is due to snow and muddy conditions and to prevent further resource damage.

Foot and horseback access is still allowed. Sheridan Region Wildlife Supervisor Joe Gilbert said that resource damage was occurring with the heavy snow pack in the area and that motorized vehicle travel will resume if conditions improve.
