The hot dry summer made Kendrick Pool in Sheridan a popular destination this year. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.
During Wednesday's Sheridan Recreation District Board meeting, Aquatics Specialist Jamie Ostermyer reported that it was a busy summer at the pool, as usage numbers were up significantly.
The aquatics specialist said that in comparison, they averaged around 18,000 people at the pool during the summer months the last two years. Despite the numbers being up, the pool continues to be a money pit due to its age, as the Rec. District incurred a net loss of over $15,000 in operations and maintenance of the pool.
