Kaycee will roll out the red carpet for fans of Chris LeDoux and for rodeo fans alike on Saturday, June 18.
The rodeo events; match saddle bronc, match bareback bronc, and the Native American relay race begin at 1pm at the rodeo arena at Harold Jarrard Park.
Admission to the rodeo is $10 per person, with those 12 and under free.
Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers' Band will give a concert following the rodeo, and later that night there will be a street dance featuring LeDoux's old band the Western Underground.
Last June the Chris LeDoux Park and the centerpiece D. Michael Thomas bronze “Good Ride, Cowboy,” memorializing Chris LeDoux's ride that won him the 1976 World Champion Bareback Bronc title, were dedicated, and the locals decided the event should be an annual celebration.
Nicki Taylor, who helped organize the event, said the town is ready and rarin' to go.
One item has been added to the celebration in Kaycee, and Taylor tells us what it is.
Lodging is limited and more than likely booked in Kaycee, so plan to stay in Buffalo, Casper, Gillette, or some other nearby town.
