Saturday was no small undertaking at the 12th Annual Kalif Kid’s Christmas Party as over 1000 children showed up to see Santa. The wait was but a half hour and the kids waited patiently.
Patrick Wright was there with his brother Joseph.
The Christmas party was hosted by the Kalif Klowns and President Warren Pearson tells us why they do it.
1,000 kids, but if you add in a couple of parents, the crowd rises to about 2-to-3,000 people. All the kids received a stocking holding candy, a stuffed animal and an orange and all were treated to a hot dog with chips. That’s a lot of hot dogs.
Other than Santa getting his toes stepped on by little feet, he had a delightful time, too.
The Shriners were established in 1870 as an appendant body to Freemasonry.
