At their last meeting the Buffalo Johnson County Justice Center Joint Powers Board approved a bid of $5,970 for installation of power outlets in the dispatch center.
The lack of needed outlets was an oversight from construction of the facility.
Also approved by the JPB was a formal request from the board to the City of Buffalo and Johnson County for their $5,000 from each entity for their operating budget for the year.
A leaky faucet was discovered in the evidence room and when investigated further it was found that the valves had been installed backwards. Ron's Plumbing, who discovered the problem, suggested all faucets in the building be inspected to see if they had been installed correctly.
Another issue was discovered in the vehicle bay of the justice center. The bay was supposed to have heat available to it, but upon inspection it looks as though a number of fixtures were set in place but never installed.
Groathouse construction, who built the justice center and judicial center, will be looking into the issue at the request of the County Commissioners.
