A panel of 52 potential jurors were on hand in 4th Judicial District Court Monday morning as part of the jury selection process for the 1st Degree Murder Trial of Sheridan resident Shawn Osborne.
After a bevy of questions from Prosecuting Attorney Matt Redle and Defense Attorney Robert Jones, a Jury of thirteen were selected, made up of twelve jurors, and one alternate. The jury is comprised of nine women and four men.
Osborne is on trial for allegedly killing Gerald Bloom during the early morning hours of January 15, 2010 at a mobile home at 1075 Bellevue Avenue in Sheridan. The 1st Degree Murder Trial is scheduled to last through Friday, although it was mentioned during the jury questionnaire process that it may be finished by Thursday.
