Sheridan College is proud to announce the launch of an exciting program, called the Sheridan College Young Musical Artists in Residency Series. Board member, Ron Krikac.
With generous financial support from the Sally Witzel Family Foundation, the Sheridan Arts Council and the Wyoming Arts Council, the first featured young artist in the series is Joshua Wright, a brillian young pianist who began playing piano concertos with symphony orchestras when he was ten. Now 22-years-old, Wright tells us about his participation beginning tomorrow.
Wright tells us why he is excited about the inception of the Young Musical Artists in Residency series.
Sunday's concert at the WYO is at 2 o'clock, and tickets are available at the WYO Box Office, or online at www.wyotheater.com Monday evening at 7, Josh will give a lecture called "Romanticism in Keyboard Music," beginning at 7 pm in room W112 of the Sheridan College Whitney Building. It is free and open to the public. He will present the same lecture at 7 pm Tuesday, March 23rd in the Gillette College Technical Ed Center.
On Wednesday at 4:30 he will give a Piano Master Class in the Whitney Building W112, which is free and open ot the public. And on Thursday, March 25th, Wright will give a piano recital at 10 am at the Wyoming Girls' School and at 2 pm at the Sheridan Senior Center.
