At their meeting this week, the Johnson County Commissioners got an update from County Planner Rob Yingling on the status of the Zoning Regulations Project, which he said is “wrapping up their final changes.”
Yingling said the findings of the Zoning Committee will be presented to the commissioners at their July 9th meeting.
After the public workshops, the committee will present the commission a certification letter saying they have been written for Johnson County and it will then be up to the commission to decide whether to adopt the regulations or not, or to table them for possible future implementation.
The public hearings are tentatively scheduled for September in both Buffalo and Kaycee.
As soon as the Zoning Committee completes the draft in July, the Planning Department will begin producing copies for the upcoming
public hearings and for distribution for comments.
