Johnson County Youth Show Well At State Fair Sheep Shows

Johnson County's sheep youth have every reason to feel proud after a great showing at the State Fair in Douglas this past week.

Jack Morey was at the fair and shared some results, saying the kids “represented Johnson County and proved that the sheep tradition (here) is still alive and prospering” after their showings.

From the Breeding Sheep Show from last week:

State Fair Grand Champion Pen of Five Market Lambs went to Colton Bolli, Colby Bessler, Jade Harper, Quynn Kennedy and Taylor Rives.
Grand Champion, Senior Breeding Sheep Showman was Lauren Rives.
Reserve Grand Champion Intermediate Breeding Showman went to Taylor Rives.
Grand Champion Junior Breeding Sheep went to Rachel Morey.
Grand Champion Suffolk Ewe went to Lauren Rives.
Reserve Grand Champion Columbia Ram and Ewe went to Jaycie Arndt.
Grand Champion Rambouillet Ram, Ewe and Flock went to Ian McGivney.
Grand Champion Wether Sire Ewe went to Taylor Rives.
Reserve Grand Champion Wether Sire Ewe went to Lauren Rives.
Supreme Champion Ewe went to Taylor Rives.

Morey said there were no Reserve or Grand Champions from Johnson County in the Market Sheep Show.

Again, thanks to Jack Morey for the information from the Wyoming State Fair in Douglas.
