Johnson County's Commissioners, at their last meeting, decided to wait and table a decision on who to award a maintenance contract to for providing service to both the existing justice center and the recently-completed judicial center.
The maintenance of the HVAC systems on both buildings will be bid to interested parties including Powder River Heating and Air Conditioning and Sheet Metal Specialties of Casper.
At the meeting, John Griffith with Groathouse Construction, who built both facilities for the county, suggested the commissioners allow him to make proposals to those interested in providing the services, so everyone would be bidding on the same services with the same quality of materials.
Commission Chair Smokey Wildeman suggested the commissioners wait to award the contract to make sure the bids were uniform and fair to everyone involved.
The bids will be presented to the commission for their consideration at their next regular meeting November 20th.
