Johnson County Republicans held their convention on Saturday, voting on delegates for both the state and national conventions.
Nominated to the National Convention in Tampa, Florida in August were Bill Novotny, who had declared for Mitt Romney, and Dan Poley, who was not committed to a candidate.
Novotny won the close vote and will be the county delegate to the national convention.
Also voted in were the 11 delegates to the state convention.
Steve Laird, Vice-Chair of the county party, will attend in the place of Chair Gerald Eastwood who is unable to attend. That left 10 spots open for the election.
Attending the state convention will be Dan Poley, April Poley, Bob Snowden, Cheryl Madden, Mike Madden, John Schiffer, Bill Novotny, Scott Madsen, Gerald Fink, and Don Meike.
County representatives to the state boards are Bob Snowden to the Platform Committee, April Poley to the Bylaws Committee; Mike Madden to the Credentials Committee; Dan Poley to the Resolutions Committee; and Steve Laird and Bill Novotny to the Nominations and Elections Committee.
The state convention will be April 12, 13 and 14 at Little America in Cheyenne.
