At their meeting earlier this week, the Johnson County Commissioners opened two bids to provide fuel for the county's fleet of vehicles.
The first bid came from Brad Hall and Associates/Red Eagle, Inc. to supply regular unleaded, premium unleaded, No. 2 diesel and dyed diesel fuel.
The second bid came from Bighorn Co-op for the same grades of fuel.
The commissioners took no action to award the bid, and instead asked County Road and Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer to look at past comsumption records and estimate costs for the county based on the prices each company provided for fuel.
Pehringer is expected to have the information to the commissioners in time for them to make a decision on who to award the bid to at his next week's meeting on Tuesdsy.
Bid prices on the fuel:
Regular Unleaded, $3.1589/gallon; premium unleaded, $3.3869; No. 2 diesel, $3.3917; dyed, $3.2652.
Big Horn Co-op:
Regular unleaded, $3.23665/gallon; premium unleaded, $3.52665; No. 2, $3.44968; dyed, $3.22368.
