At last week's County Commissioner's meeting, County Planner Rob Yingling gave a report to the commission on the status of various subdivisions and a brief view of upcoming public meetings on zoning regulations.
The Petra Minor Subdivision's final plat was presented to the commission with all requirements having been met including water rights assigned properly, he said. It sits within one mile of the Buffalo City Limits, so will require the city's approval as well. The county commissioners approved the final plat.
The Emerald Park Subdivision has a revised agreement concerning paving of streets, which has been forwarded to the county attorney.
Yingling also said the Shores at Lake DeSmet has been cleaning up plats within the subdivision.
Zoning regulations have been in the works for a number of years and have not surfaced so far, but Yingling said the planning commission will be working on them again soon, including putting on public meetings to gather more input.
He explains further.
The commissioners asked Yingling to look into the cost of mailing questionaires or surveys to county residents to gather public input that way as well. Costs and other information will be given to the commssioners at their next meeting October 2nd.
