The Johnson County Commissioners have approved Chairman Delbert Eitel to sign an amended agreement between themselves and Sheridan County concerning Lake DeSmet, once the agreement is received from the Sheridan County Commission.
The agreement is basically an extension of the already in-place agreement between the two entities, amended to show changes that became necessary when the Wyoming Game and Fish Department postponed their decision on the proposed lease of water rights in the lake from Johnson County.
That decision is now expected at the next Game and Fish meetings in January.

The commissioners said those they have spoken to at the game and fish have all seemed very positive that the lease would be approved at their meetings in January, and were confident there would not be any changes made to the agreement by them.
Those meetings are scheduled for January 24th in Cheyenne.
