During their Tuesday meeting, the Johnson County Commissioners heard a short presentation from the Wyoming National Guard and then signed a proclamation making April the Month Of The Military Child in the county.

Trudy Zaffarano-Anderson, Family Assistance Specialist with the Wyoming National Guard, introduced one National Guard family, the Zorbas family of Buffalo, to those present and then gave a short presentation.

According to Zaffarano-Anderson, more than 1.7 million American children under the age of 18 have at least one parent serving in the military, with nearly 5,000 in Wyoming, scattered throughout every county in the state.
