The fourth annual Art In Bloom Fundraiser for the Johnson County Library is in full swing and bids on the silent auction items will be taken through May 9th.

Local artists and some library staff members have painted or decorated plates created by Arnette Tiller, and they will be auctioned to raise money for their children's summer reading program.

Steve Rzasa, with the library, explains how this year's fundraiser is different than years past.

Rzasa said the summer reading program kicks off June 12 with a hot dog barbeque at the library and will continue through the end of July.
Several sessions will happen every week for different age groups and will include activities, crafts and prizes.

Rzasa explains what the funds from Art In Bloom will be used for.

More information is available by calling the library at 684-5546.
