The Johnson County Healthcare Center's Board of Trustees got a “clean audit report” from Tracey Jelly of Dooley and Jelly CPAs at their November meeting Wednesday evening.
Dooley and Jelly performed the Fiscal Year 2012 Annual Audit and presented their report, finding only a few minor issues concerning internal control of financial reporting, estimated cost report settlement, recording pension statements, collection policies, and a conflict of interest policy for board members.
Although these are just procedural issues and not major problems, Dooley and Jelly recommended the JCHC make changes to bring the issues into compliance, such as hiring another person to help with collections, and changing or implementing additional accounting procedures.
The board had already addressed the conflict of interest policy at their October meeting.
Overall it was a very clean audit with no issues, according to Jelly.
The board voted to approve and accept the Audit Report for FY 2012.
