Johnson County's soon to be built fuel station was discussed at the commission's last meeting, where it was decided that the $200,000 line item from this year's budget will have to be moved to next year's budget.
The commissioners discussed how the county would determine how each department will be charged for the fuel they use each month.
Other entities, such as the school district and the city, have also shown interest in using the fuel station, and the plan would allow for any number of users to join with the county, they said.
Also discussed was the curb and gutter project at the county firehall property, along the street that will eventually tie in with the fuel station.
The commissioners approved Nelson Engineering to survey the property, the existing street and the property where the fuel station will be located, and to do so as soon as possible to not delay the fuel station project.
Costs were set not to exceed $5,000 for the surveying.
