Johnson County Commissioners were the final presenters to the local legislative delegation on Monday evening. Several of the big issues they brought forth were dealing with livestock, and also the proposed increase in our “gas tax”
Commissioner Delbert Eitel is in the trucking industry. And even though it may sound surprising that someone who would be inordinately affected by a “gas tax,” supports the increase, he says he isn't alone in the industry:
Chairman Gerald Fink agrees and says that it makes economic sense to increase Wyoming's “gas tax”:
Currently, Wyoming's fuel tax is 14-cents a gallon, one of the lowest in the nation. Only Alaska, Georgia and New Jersey having lower fuel consumption taxes.
